On this project we worked collaboratively with the homeowners to design a window configuration that functioned well and blended with the essence of the original windows. The existing large picture window on this classic 1920’s Tudor did not allow for good ventilation. Our goal was to convert the fixed picture window into a fully operating window assembly to compliment the style of the home and improve the air flow.
We drafted a series of scaled drawings with a variety of patterns and sizes for the customer to choose from. The ultimate choice was a Marvin casement, picture, casement window assembly with a marginal divided lite pattern. The new windows provide fresh air, improved energy performance and add visual interest to the front of this classic NE Portland home.
